SESAR

Technological pillar of the European Digital Sky and a key enabler of the European Commission’s mobility and sustainability strategy. We participate in more than 21 projects and lead 4 of them.

Specifically, our involvement in JARVIS is driven by our expertise in developing AI infrastructures with machine learning techniques based on algorithm production, highlighting our technical development for ATC-DA (Air Traffic Control Digital Assistant) and AP-DA (Airport Digital Assistant).

iTEC Skynex

A multinational alliance of eight air navigation service providers (ANSPs), in which we are the sole technology partner.

Its main objectives are to increase capacity, ensure interoperability between ATM systems, and reduce flight time, fuel consumption, and CO₂ emissions.

Digital platforms for air traffic management

At Indra, we have developed the first digital air traffic management platform in the public cloud, which will host the world’s largest aeronautical information database. It is built on a powerful, scalable, and integrated digital architecture for safer, more efficient, and sustainable aviation, optimizing operations and enabling the industry to tackle future challenges. The highest levels of cybersecurity are applied to ensure data integrity and flight safety.

Startical

A pioneering initiative, driven together with ENAIRE, to bring air traffic management infrastructure into space with a constellation of 288 satellites, providing communication, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) services.

Through this initiative, remote airspaces will gain access to these services, enabling new routes.

With this project, we have already become the first in the world to establish VHF communications and real-time data transmission from space between an aircraft and a controller at a ground control center.
